Storm-Damaged Tree in Columbus? Schedule Fast Removal

Schedule Emergency Removal

High winds, thunderstorms, snow and ice can leave Columbus properties with broken limbs, split trunks, uprooted trees or heavy sections hanging over structures and utilities. Saturated ground near low-lying properties can also contribute to root instability during periods of severe weather.

CutNGo offers same- or next-day emergency tree removal for fallen trees, blocked access, roof strikes and other urgent hazards. Our grapple saw secures damaged sections before cutting, while the crane lifts material away from homes, garages, vehicles, fences and power lines. We can also provide photos and job notes documenting visible storm damage for insurance purposes.

I don’t know where to begin. Big, big job on a Saturday. Matt and his crew were out here at 9:00a with huge equipment (I sent an e mail at. 9:15 last night) and they left at 4:30. The tree was huge, really huge and posed a significant danger and massive property damage. These guys busted their butts. Neighbors upset but Matt took care of it and did a 20 out of 10 job. I have the before and after pics and looks like nothing happened. Seriously, if you have any tree job, mine was very challenging/dangerous and took a ton of skill, please check these guys out. You won’t regret it. Seriously

I am beyond impressed with the service we received from CutNGo. At a neighbor’s recommendation, we hired them to remove 9 very tall and mature trees from our lot, many of which were fairly close to our house. Our experience with Matt was fantastic - he was honest, gave us a very fair rate, and got us on the schedule quickly. Jeff and his crew made their work look easy! I was blown away by their precision. They have a very sophisticated system and the crew left our yard cleaner than when they arrived that morning. We were thrilled with the service and would use them again in a heartbeat.

Common Tree Problems in Columbus

Columbus combines established residential blocks with growing subdivisions, agricultural edges and properties near the Crawfish River and local creeks. City planning documents show several parks and recreation areas along waterways, with nearly 80% of city-owned park acreage located within FEMA floodplain areas. Trees near lower ground can face saturated soils after prolonged rain, increasing stress on root systems and making already weakened trees more vulnerable to leaning or uprooting.

Older neighborhoods present a different challenge. Mature shade trees may extend across garages, rooftops, sidewalks and utility corridors, while narrow side access can limit where conventional tree equipment can travel.

Properties closer to the city’s outer edges may involve larger lots, unmanaged brush or groups of trees rather than a single removal. Columbus continues planning for new residential development, including areas near creeks and undeveloped land. CutNGo’s crane and land-clearing equipment can handle both individual hazardous trees and multi-tree projects while moving cut material toward an accessible processing area.

Frequently Asked Questions

CutNGo offers a 2-hour package for $900, a 4-hour half-day package for $1,650 and an 8-hour full-day package for $3,200. Same- or next-day emergency tree removal costs $500/hour. Cleanup can be added for $400/hour.

Permit needs depend on tree location, ownership and project scope. Columbus Public Works oversees the city’s forestry program along with streets, parks and other infrastructure. Property owners should contact the city before arranging removal involving a tree in a terrace, public right-of-way, park or other city-controlled area.

Our grapple saw secures limbs and trunk sections during cutting while the crane moves them toward a planned landing area. This gives crews greater control around homes, garages, sheds, vehicles, landscaping and utility lines.

Yes. CutNGo handles individual removals, multi-tree projects, lot clearing, brush removal and forestry mulching. Half-day and full-day packages can work well for larger properties or projects involving several trees.

City brush pickup is intended for smaller tree branches. Columbus limits curbside limbs to 8 inches in diameter and 10 feet in length, and Public Works generally allocates about 15 minutes of pickup time per residence. For a full removal or larger clearing project, adding CutNGo’s cleanup crew can simplify debris removal.
